Sometimes people are sometimes confused
why the Germans are so welcoming of the Americans. Especially when
they remember that World War II was fought between the Germans and
America and her allies. What some people don't understand is that the
Nazis were not just brutal to other countries, but they were very bad
to the German people as well. When America liberated Europe, we also
liberated the German People. This monument represents the commitment
of both countries to continue to work people to keep Europe free.
At Ramstein Air Force Base there is a cool display of flags from many different nations. Heinrich was very impressed with all of these flags.
