For his flight to Germany, Henry was
able to snuggle into a very comfortable backpack seat. It was
important for him to be as comfortable as he could be since it is a
very long flight to Germany. Heinrich started in Flint Michigan and
flew to Detroit where he got on a much larger airplane. From there he
flew across the ocean (or some people refer to it as the big river) to the Schipol Airport in Amsterdam Holland. It
was a little confusing since the language in Holland is Dutch but
many people knew how to speak English and most of the signs were
written in English, too.
Holland is famous for tulips and in the
Airport were stores that sold specialized tulip bulbs.
From
Amsterdam, Henry flew in a smaller airplane to the airport in
Luxemburg. In Luxemburg most of the people speak French. Some friends
met Henry at the airport and gave him a ride to Spangdahlem in
Germany. He was very tired after all the airplane rides but he was
also very excited to be somewhere new and beautiful. And now all of
the signs were written in English.
